Africa Express at Roskilde Festival 2015

Post by nstar » 27 Mar 2015, 13:53

Damon is playing Roskilde Festival this year.
a five hour Africa Express gig with more than a 100 musicians, including surpriseguests and other Roskilde-acts (i'm hoping for Paul McCartney)
The musiccheif of Roskilde confirmed on danish radio (P6) that Damon would perform, and that they've booked rehearsalspaces all over Roskilde and Copenhagen in the weeks up to the festival, for all the musicians.

Edit: Thanks for informing us! I separated this post from The Magic Whip tour thread. -Veikko

Paul McCartney would be great. He is there of course. Starts at 11.00 though?! I'll be falling asleep some way into it!

I don't know about Paul but Graham is doing it. He posted some tweets about that today.

The whole idea sounds pretty neat. A lot of great music will get played I'm sure. I'll try to catch the live stream tonight.

Thanks Sarah! This is especially helpful for me, as I've an extremely busy summer. Can't wait to see what they pull out for this performance! With Graham there and Macca rumored to be there, this surely will be an epic 5 hours!

The stream had been very choppy almost impossible. But I did get some of the guitar jam and a few other bits. It'll have to be edited into some form. And I did get Damon singing Should I Stay or Should I Go. Sorry I haven't been able to get all of it.
