Go Out, Pyongyang, and Ong Ong were my favourites.
That could change once I've bought the album, I think there's a few slow-burners on there, but in terms of hitting the spot from the get go, they're the ones for me.
Ah so you were one of the lucky Graham forum members to get a ticket? Nice! Welcome here

I loved Ong Ong and I can't wait to hear Pyongyang!

Thank you!!
It looks really promising, like a playful track that could've been part of Parklife or TGE

Ong Ong sounds like great fun. This album is really shaping up - serious ballad stuff, more noisy stuff, fun tracks like this - really varied. This gig, well what I've heard of it, has made me stupidly excited for the album now - and we've still got over a month to wait!!

Alright, my three favorite songs have now changed now that I've finally heard them! But they most likely will change again.
1. Ong Ong
2. Lonesome Street
3. Pyongyang

Really I think the singles might be the weakest ones. A lot of powerful stuff here.
Haven't listened to it enough to have favorite tracks, though. We'll see.

can't decide
let's turn it around
least favourite songs from TMW so far
- Go Out (good but no great)
- I Broadcast (classic "2 min blur goes crazy" song...it maybe the recording but didn't leave much of an impression to me)
- Terracotta Heart (beautiful but maybe a bit too long for its own good)
uhm yeah..that's the only ones which I wouldn't consider for a top 3 right now!
I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream

Thought it would be fun, as the stream of the entire album approaches, to bump this thread and remind ourselves what people thought the songs *might* sound like BEFORE any of us heard them.
Some highlights:
"There Are Too Many of Us" (the title sounds a bit like "One Born Every Minute"
, hopefully it'll sound like a 2nd part of that funny B-side)
Lonesome Street (sounds like classic Blur material)
- great shout there
[the stinker] Ghost Ship (their trade mark short-blast rock song that just doesn't do it anymore) and I bet "I Broadcast" will be a half-decent instrumental

That comment about I Broadcast being an instrumental has just made me realise... there isn't one on this album! Doesn't bother me, but still. Unless we get an uncredited / secret track.
