I'd also die if they played Clover over Dover. It's one of my all time favourites. There's something about this song, can't quite explain. Objectively, this is clearly not their best song, but this is one of those songs that touch me the most. The lyrics, the "smithesque" touch... Love, love it.
I'd also love (among others): Sing, For tomorrow (but an acoustic version like the one at Finsbury park), Sweet song, You're so great, B.L.U.R.E.M.I, He thought of cars, Good song, Theme from an imaginary film, Young and lovely...
Oh well... I'd be pretty happy with anything, really.
Also, someone mentioned they'd like it if they played Bitter tears: yes that would be amazing. I think songs like See a better day or Standing on my own again would sound really nice by them too. But I guess chances are really slim. Arf.

Clover Over Dover is a quirky one. If you listen only to the music, it's a happy, carefree tune. But then you read the lyrics and you realize how it depressing it can get.

Oh, I think the melody itself is already very melancholic, despite its catchy tune and all. Then the lyrics, beyond the nods to the WW2 popular song, are very defeatist and depressing indeed. I guess it's more like a metaphor, but still. Also reminds me now of my husband who took his life, so it obviously doesn't help
Anyway, it's really one of my favourite songs by them.

Here's one - Theme From An Imaginary Film. Ha, never in a million years, but I bloody love that tune. Wouldn't fit AT ALL with TMW I'm sure, but as a really leftfield choice at an intimate / small gig would be lovely. If only...

I'd like to hear Chinese Bombs in this tour, I think this one would fit in this tour ("He comes from Hong Kong where people are strong", "Chinese bombs, millions jump", "You come from Hong Kong where people are strong", "Bruce Lee comes to save Chinese way").
The fast version is great!

Music Is My Radar
He Thought of Cars
Coping
Star Shaped
All Your Life
Get Out of Cities
Chemical World
Sweet Song
Charmless Man (probably wouldn't happen though)
You're So Great
Swamp Song
Bugman
Fool's Day
I didn't include any of the big obvious ones because I just assume they'll play those, plus the songs from the new album.

One of the great Blur mysteries, why not record a proper studio version of this or Day Upon Day instead of the pants End Of A Century B sides?!?!!?JAIME wrote:100% AgreedTripleJay97 wrote:Pleasant Education

Re: What do you want Blur to play on the Magic Whip tour?
Why so little love for Leisure? I wish they played any of the singles: She's so high, Bang, There's no other way... I know asking for anything else would be foolish, but Come Together, Wear me Down, Inertia, I know or Day upon Day would be lovely too
