A topic deserving of its own thread, surely.
Will keep the voting simple with a 5 point scale.

Me too Rich. The more I play it, the more I'm finding in it all the time. I'll admit it's had to work its charms on me, I know some people loved it from the off. I've voted 4/5, but if I had the choice I would nuance that a little with 3.5-ish. I only say that because I disagree with the description next to 4/5 'good enough to be one of their better singles.' Not sure I could go along with that and place it next to Beetlebum etc, but certainly worthy single material.

I like Entertain me a lot, so I really like Go Out...they sound similar imo.

4/5 definitely.

I gave it 3/5. I really do like the song, but the ongoing lack of a chorus (4th Blur song in a row since 2010 without one) keeps it from being really great. I still keep listening to it, though, and I really dig it. It bodes well for the album for sure!

I'm with MrMagpie on this one. It's a great little tune, really happy there is new material out there.

It sounds great but I kind of wish the vocals didn't sound so freestyle.

As a single I'd say it's on the level of M.O.R or On Your Own but not quite top-tier either.

I think it's the closest thing to Britpop that they've done since The Great Escape.

On a side note, I love the bass slapping. Damon doesn't really write a lot of songs with bass slapping in them, so the bassline for this was fun to listen to.

Yeah, I like the mish-mash of their styles it provides. The background vocals are very britpop but the guitar sound says 13 all over.

So apparently I wouldn't get the mp3 of "Get Out" until the CD is released on April 27th.

So the massively exciting deal is that they're generous enough to give me a single mp3 at the same time that I would have received the CD, so I can just rip the disc to iTunes anyway. WOW Cheers Amazon! You mugs

I think that deal is from iTunes.
I like physical shit too much, I'm perfectly content with watching the video twenty times a day until the record comes out.

I just bought the single on iTunes. I could wait 2 months for the CD but I'm too impatient.

I think it's a great tune, the kind of song that really pumps you up for the new album. Very rough and psychedelic, but also catchy. I can't get tired of it.

*scratches head* I respect your opinion, man, but I disagree. In my opinion, there are tracks on self-titled and 13 that sound light years more Britpop than "Go Out."
