I hope this indicates they are not finished touring and getting the funds together for smaller gigs / RAH gigs...
Abu Dhabi or any other Middle East place = more Think Tank songs in the setlist? :P

Been to Abu Dhabi twice as a volunteer track marshal for the formula one in 2009 and 2010. It's a nice venue just outside the circuit by Ferrari world. I saw Kings of Leon and Aerosmith. It's all part of the F1 rocks tour package, Silverstone had Madness this year.

In my city, Imola, there is a racetrack used for F1 for many years (until 5/6 years ago).
It also has had some great gigs in it, for example the Heinken Jammin Festival.
Blur too played it a lot of years ago (unfortunately I wasn't aware of them at the time).
This July we had a massive AC/DC gig: 80.000 people! So I think also Abu Dabi can be a good choice for a gig.

This Abu Dhabi news sounds interesting but is there a large Blur fan base in Abu Dhabi? Seems like a very random place to go unless it's....$$$$$.

More than likely to be dollars and fair play to them, when I was out there for the Grand Prix it was loads of expats and westerners.

Formula 1, Abu Dhabi, a big bag with the dollar sign and a brand new farm for Alex. Just need to join the dots

I almost bet that is a question of money, but I also can say that a majority of people that will be there are English-oriented. There are *a lot* of people from England, so they might know blur as well
