I found a friend that was willing to buy the tickets on her amex card but she doesn't have a preferred code (anyone here have it?) and said the tickets available were shit tickets

I hate pre-sale ticket things especially the ones where you have to have a certain card. It's not right for true fans.

I'm very lucky that NYC is about 2.5 hours away from me, I'm not taking a chance of waiting it out to see if they have closer places (like Philly) b/c I've never seen them and if you asked me 8 months ago, if I would think I'd have the chance to see Blur live I would have laughed and said if pigs fly.

I called the venue and they said that sections A, B, and C (the three directly in front of the stage) will be standing only. D, E, and F will be seated according the the MSG rep I spoke with. Ticketmaster apparently has the wrong seating chart on their site and are working to correct it. Totally confusing. I'll be trying for 3 GA's during the Friday presale.
Oh great thanks, that's reassuring then! How do you get access to the Friday presale? Is it by signing up as an MSG Insider? Fingers crossed for GA tickets!

Same boat here, I think it'll be better to buy these MSG tickets...worst case scenario, I go to the show. Best case, I go to this and a smaller one later on if there's one in Boston. It's been 12 years since I last saw them and that's too long to risk never seeing them again.

EDIT: YES, I signed up as an insider and got a message that said:
Thank you for siging up to be a Garden Insider! You now have exclusive access to pre-sales, ticket offers, show announcements and more!
Signup just needed your name, email, and a password. Hope that helps!

Alright I've signed up, will try to order Friday. Are the Insider tickets ordered via the MSG site then, or still Ticketmaster?

That I don't know, I'm guessing through MSG's site or maybe they'll email the code?

I just selected Alternative/Indie Rock as the types of shows I wish to be informed of and saved it, then the page went nowhere. I honestly didn't look at the page more b/c I was in the middle of doing something, but if I find anything, I'll share it here (and hope anyone does the same)

btw, I found this on the MSG web page

Damn, now Ticketmaster doesn't list the Chase presale anymore. The one time I have a CC that works for one of those presales. Hopefully MSG sends us the presale codes tomorrow. I just signed up today as well.

Use some from the rehearsal setlist shown in the Beats interview with Graham and Streety! What happened to Repetition, Best Days, etc.

Also, Blur's camp have changed their wording about the US gigs, because when they first announced the U.S. dates they said " Tickets To Only U.S Appearances on Sale June 20 here:", but now they're saying the "only announced"? Well, I plan on arriving in NYC on Oct 22, Thursday night (by plane, I don't wanna do an 11 hour road trip), and I'll be staying til Monday, and a weekend in New York can never be a bad thing! Maybe if Blur announces more gigs for the US, it'll just give me an excuse to have a New York weekend and catch Blur multiple times... just hope my uncle (the reason I got tickets, because he has an Amex card and is a huge blur fan) doesn't wanna bail on the MSG gig if they announce closer ones!

I shouldn't worry yet, we never know what'll happen, so until we get more info I'll just remind myself I have tickets to see Blur for the first (and possibly only) time! :D

You simply cannot go wrong with this scenario.

...and now for some more European dates (Berlin!)...?
