I love Ong Ong. Think its a cracking cheery song. They can keep new world towers. Not getting that at all. Hope they bin it for the gigs!

Ha...I wasn't criticising you for only having had two listens  ....just pointing out that for pretty much everyone I've spoken to it's been a serious grower. Mate of mine - lifelong Blur fan - wrote it off after 2 listens and after a pep talk from me he stuck with it and now he loves it.

Amazed at the negativity for NWT. It's very beautiful and better than practically anything off Everyday Robots. Graham's beautiful guitar line that comes in at about 1:50 really elevates it and marks it very much as Blur rather than Damon solo.

I must admit NWT took a while to grow on me from lesser member of the merely good tracks to an excellent track. I now think it's rather beautiful.

As for Alex being quoted at least saying there's more material, I'll take that with an industrial skip load of salt. Damon will have had all sorts of snippets and demo ideas floating around but that doesn't mean they were worthy of being turned into an album.

I brought up any additional songs the band recorded when I interviewed Dave. His reply is in Part 2 of the interview: https://tomcaswell.wordpress.com/2015/0 ... ee-part-2/
Were there any other songs recorded in Hong Kong (or that Graham/Stephen worked on last year) that didn’t make the album that could see a release at some point?

Unlikely I think. It’s astonishing that we managed to get enough done in a week to fill an album really.

I'm in the minority on Pyongyang. I consider it one of the 3 really good songs on the album as opposed to the other 9 amazing ones.
What are the other 2?

Also, i've got the obi strip inside the case just caus i don't want to lose it. What is everyone else doing with theirs?
The other 2 are Ong Ong and Mirrorball. In fairness though, something as simple as seeing any of the three live, a music video, use of one of them in a film etc could totally change my opinion for the better. Even though I do like them quite a bit already!

It's so delicate, no way I'm playing it. I'll be putting it away somewhere safe. :)

I was going to ask... Well, best kept as a souvenir then.

I've got Q. It's quite a nice little feature - it's mostly photos with a few captions / comments from either Alex, Graham or Dave.
