Fuck yes, now let's hope Mick's in as well. Even if you couldn't even hear him playing during the PB tour, having him and Paul playing together is just a beautiful thing to witness.

It's also good to see Jeff back again. Really underrated guitar player, his work on Damon's solo tour was great.

Could hear them at the Trinity in Bristol. ;) Nice, small venue. Perfect night.

Glad to see Paul is on board again.

spanish interview to Jamie: http://www.elespanol.com/cultura/201512 ... 479_0.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Damon has already recorded some demos and is going to work all December on it. He is finishing other work right now, then he'll have the space to do it. We'll continue the story of Gorillaz but introducing different things. Much remains to be decided but there will collaborators, animations, videos, concerts."

I didn't know that Jamie loved the book "La Vía del Tarot" by the Chilean Alejandro Jodorowski :D

I'm glad Paul is back, but I just hope the same line-up doesn't mean the same sound as Plastic Beach. As much as I really enjoyed it a lot, I hope they change up their sound this time around as they usually do.

I'm expecting it to kind of be almost reminiscent of like...the second half of DoYaThing, just because of the way Damon described the record as a 'upbeat, funny, positive record', which DoYaThing was.

I dunno, I think PB intentionally sounded kinda sterile, I don't think that it was even recorded with the same band that Damon assembled for the tour. Most songs were certainly far more upbeat when played live, so as long as LP4 captures that kind of energy it's all good for me.

I actually think it's a pretty good sign that they're playing the songs live before being recorded (assuming they haven't been recorded yet!), given how Damon's last albums (TMW and particularly Everyday Robots) worked much better live.

Yeah, I'd say for the most part Plastic Beach was just Damon.
Lots of synths, lots of drum machines, not too many guitars or acoustic drum parts.
