Don't know, the fact that Blur have been on the road a lot this year means the chemistry is probably at it's highest since the late 90's especially when you throw in the new songs they've been playing, the new album, 5 star reviews and all that. And to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they've even had a go playing newer songs whilst on the road this year, something that would happen naturally when you spend so much time together. But that's just be speculating. :)

Are you guys seriously accusing Damon of rushing himself?
Coming from Blur fans... that's pretty hilarious.
He doesn't do anything he doesn't want to... and he's been talking about writing songs as far back as last summer.
He also said he's still in the very early days... I have a feeling we have nothing to worry about in that department.

I agree completely. Not any worry of it being rushed! For me at least.

I don't think he is rushing it, he's been talking about having a lot of songs for gorillaz since the everyday robots tour. I remember he said at bonnaroo that he wrote a lot of stuff that week in US.

I remember that as well, it stuck with me because that's where I saw Damon. So I'm sure he's put a lot of thought into this album.

Damon is a 'work hard, play hard' kind of person. If he isn't doing one thing, he is doing another, even if it is supposed to be his day off.

Being busy with one thing can be stimulating for other things. Creative people always have their brain cogs working, so in the midst of a Blur tour he may be putting ideas together for Gorillaz.

Should we ever be fortunate enough to get any more Blur records, I'd say it'll benefit from time having passed and ideas given a chance to germinate rather than going straight into round two.
Absolutely. At the present time, a new Gorillaz project is exciting, a new Blur album is more of the same.

No Blur album has ever been 'more of the same', except maybe TGE.

It's been quiet on the Gorillaz front hasn't it? Nothing but Instagram photos for the past month. Still though, with blur done touring and one more month of 2015, we should be getting new news soon...

this is what Noel gallagher said

"I was talking to him (damon) today, as a matter of fact. We were talking about some such nonsense, which you will probably find out about sooner or later. http://musicfeeds.com.au/features/noel- ... terrorism/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

a gorillaz collaboration maybe?

Think we've all pondered the possibility of a Gorillaz collaboration seeing as the two of them hang out a bit together these days. Wouldn't surprise me at all, and it would be very interesting to hear.

That would make Liam explode.

Or not. I feel like he digs Gorillaz.

I can't see a Noel/Gorillaz collab being any good... but then again they created quite a tune with Shaun Ryder in tow so I guess, eh, why not?

Potential collaboration... maybe we need to think more... creatively:

New Oasis single, Damon lead vocals. Ha ha ha ha. THEN Liam would explode.

And the world would fall off its axis.
