And here's Damon with Fatou duetting on Hong Kong. Sorry about the crap visuals - I was right at the back of the floor - but the sound's OK...

I put me trousers on, have a cup of tea, and think about leaving the house...

I was at the NHS gig on Tuesday and it was amazing. I've seen Blur three times but never seen Gorillaz before and their energy and enthusiasm was off the charts! So wonderful to see Damon on the stage as well, the last time I saw Blur was 2003 and it's been FAR too long.

I have reviewed the gig on my blog here: https://scruffystorms.com/2021/08/12/go ... gust-2021/
(you can also find all my Blur reviews on the blog if you're interested!)

And I've put up a little vlog on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/NzroUtpZuyg
(skip to 1.39 if you want to avoid me rambling on and just get to the Gorillaz footage!)

Watching the o2 gig, trying to work out what Damon says to Shaun at the end of the DARE.

I think it's "I love you Shaun - you're one of my heroes, mate". That sound right?

That lineup looks incredible! I'm so tempted to head across the pond. Blur are the only band I will 100% fly over for though... :)

Interesting feedback as I don't know a lot of the acts on the undercard. Who should I listen to? I'm going to Primavera Sound so I doubt I will be going to this, but have been to 3 APE days and it's fun. Great location. And easy to take in booze :-)

Loads of great bands at All Points East - for me the highlights are Pusha T, Freddie Gibbs, Femi Kuti, Kraftwerk, Kurt Vile and of course, and most importantly, Nick Cave. Self Esteem great live too, saw them last week.

Damon is in going to burn himself out in 2022. 49 gigs around the world already confirmed between solo and Gorillaz.

^^ Damn, Damon! He really is making up for lost time here. I was starting to assume the solo tour was gonna stop when Gorillaz’ tour started, but guess that’s not the case.
