Opinions on Julian H. Cope, the Arch-Drude himself.

And especially, opinions on his 1992 heathen folk-krautrock labour of love masterpiece Jehovahkill?

Well I should have bought it, but I never did.... :|

Julian Cope had a great run of singles through the 80s into the 90s. He never got the success he deserved.

Been playing 20 Mothers a lot recently. Highly recommend that album. A lot on there that I think forumers here would enjoy.

He was a good artist, but in the wrong period.

I loved the 'World Shut Your Mouth' single. It was head & shoulders above the other chart music of the time - but it was also out of place amongst it.

Cheesy records were in, and artists like Julian Cope suffered
