The link for 'Blood and Roses' worked on YT in the UK.

The song is a plodder - a bit REM-ish.

Smithereens was credited in influencing Nirvana. Kurt was quite drawn to them.....

I like the early Jefferson Airplane.

Amuses me how that early raw, stark sound eventually became the bland AOR of Starship two decades later :)

Even earlier Jefferson Starship was quite progressive, but that all changed in the mid-70s and then they sold out one Mickey Thomas became their primary male lead-singer.

Please rate this song... Anyone! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmDnL8byUAw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It would have to grow on me I think.

I see it is getting a lot of praise from middle-aged people, so it should be my thing. ;)

And apparently Paul Weller has endorsed the band - is that good or bad....? :)

That is one of the bands I discovered at Hyde Park BST on 6/18/15. They were one of the supporting acts for Beck/the Strokes and really blew me away!

Anyone... please feel free to rate this song..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uigPOJySqs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The song got a nice/sleepy instrumentalization. The vocals are a bit strange. 7/10.
