Albums for 2016
We've got a nice bunch of albums announced already. What are you guys waiting for this year?
I'm already in love with the new Bowie record and I can't wait to hear Animal Collective's new one. La Sera, Ty Segall and DIIV should also be quite good. And as for unannounced albums, well there's Gorillaz of course and new Beck, Weezer and Kanye which would also be nice. 2016's looking good already.

Re: Albums for 2016
I am waiting for new "The Last Shadow Puppets" record - even though both Alex and Miles look pretentious and cheesy af these days and AM was more of a disappointment to me, I still have high hopes for this one.

I'm waiting for Gorillaz, Animal Collective, Radiohead (?), Vampire Weekend (?), and Slowdive. Not all of these are confirmed for 2016 but I'm hopeful.

Re: Albums for 2016
Weezer's new album could be great or fucking terrible based off the two songs they've released.
It's way, way too early to be calling something the album of the year but Blackstar might just be it.
I'll definitely be checking out Beck, AnCo and Radiohead.
I heard Metronomy's got a new one coming out. I'll probably look at that but they kind of lost me with their last album.
Also Gorillaz, Graham, GBQ..

Yeah, Metronomy's last record was kinda meh. I completely forgot about The Last Shadow Puppets! Their debut is probably my favourite Alex Turner-related release but then again, I have to agree with Consigliere about AM, I thought it really sucked.
Also, PJ Harvey! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3swyAHvswE8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

New Suede single. And wow! Not at all what I was expecting. At all. Fucking wow. Let's hope its a good sign of things to come.

The album sees Brett Anderson addressing the subject of family – and the fear and anxiety that accompanies parenthood. “I wanted to capture some of the neurosis of being a parent and it not be this ‘Aren’t I a great dad! Look at me with my kids!’ that I read so much from people in the public eye who are desperate to come across as great parents,” he told the Guardian
Fabulous!

Re: Albums for 2016
After hearing the first single I have to say I'm no longer excited about The Last Shadow Puppets. It's pretty much AM with strings, really shitty stuff.

Re: Albums for 2016
Yeah, "Bad Habits" is pretty mediocre. Oh well, I'll still give a record a listen - but it is better to get used to the fact that this is their sound for a long time.
