My self-control is just horrible. Was at the counter 5 seconds after spotting the box at my local record store ... wife not pleased.

One of the last songs Bowie recorded debuted on BBC radio today, called When I Met You.

It starts at roughly 51 minutes into the programme.

"When I Met You" reminds me of an early Arcade Fire and "No Plan" would be a nice album closer if there was something after Blackstar... Damn, both songs are really good and this makes it sadder to accept that there is all that's left :(

I never wanted any of those three songs to end! Rarely do I yearn for more nowadays, but each song is so incredible and covers each phase of his career perfectly.... He had so much left in the tank which compounds the agony of his passing even more further..... No way can I rank which I like the best since they're all so diverse which of course defined Bowie's career!

Since there are so many Bowie fans on here and a lot of us like the Survivor threads, what about doing a few Bowie Survivor threads? Instead of having a new thread for every album, why not the most popular ones as seen on this thread's poll? Would anyone else aside from me be interested?

I do not post here regularly, but in any way I'd love to do such a series

That sounds good to me! :D What would you suggest, do the albums with more votes than 10 in the poll?

To be honest I'd be happy doing every album because I'm not familiar with a lot of them. I've found that doing survivors is a good way to open the mind to new material. :)
