I do like "Un Homme Hereux" by William Sheller, a pretty sentimental one.

Agreed. The chorus makes me very emotional each time I listen to it, even though I can't help but thinking of the shred version of the song now. God, this had me in tears first time I watched it, that's so painful for the ears! :mrgreen: : https://youtu.be/wgPrcS1Xd9Y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I saw him live in the 90s (think it was in 1998 but not sure). Do you know some of his other songs? if not, you can check some of his greatest hits like:

Fier et fou de vous (I'm not fond of the verses but I think the chorus is really nice) : https://youtu.be/ryJbnDERUWA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or

Le carnet à spirales https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PPqO_j1XcQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you like songs more like Un homme heureux, then check out "Centre ville", it's my favourite song by him (it's not a very well known song. Most people would rank it as boring I guess, but I don't know, i really like it): https://youtu.be/c9atcfdfdLI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

OOH

Serge Gainsbourg - Bonnie & Clyde

I discovered it on Chris Morris' Blue Jam last year and I haven't been able to get enough of it.

One of my favourite bands is Rammstein, and besides a verse here and there and a couple English versions of their songs, it's all in German.

'Comment Te Dire Adieu' by Francois Hardy (1968), and covered by Jimi Somerville (1989).

Great late 60s MOR :)
