The Deep Purple Thread

Post by KingLouieLouie76 » 25 Nov 2014, 05:36

This band has endured quite a bit....But that Mark II line-up was something special! The band though ended the moment Lord died...He added that extra element to them that put them over the top! Blackmore to me deserves more recognition for his sensational guitar work....Too bad they couldn't set their differences behind them... When that line-up reunited for "Perfect Strangers", they all proved collectively that they still had it and then some!

The Mk2 line-up was the best. But it also coincided with the most potent period for rock music in general.

Agreed...if only they could have gotten along better....They were so dynamic and knew how to push the envelope on stage.... They proved they still had it during the "Perfect Strangers" reunion......
