Exactly. I still really like the track but I really like the album so picking one is hard.

Come on, let's get this thread up! Blue is a fantastic album, we need more people being involved in this.

Anyway, Weezer played Song 2 yesterday! With Pat on vocals and Rivers on drums, as they've been doing in Photograph for some time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiRZVbq2s4M" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Erm, maybe we should go on with the Weezer Survivor? I can start new threads with cool opening paragraphs a la Miki. All I ask for is commitment so all of us are still standing when the awful albums come :lol:

Anyway, new album coming, apparently! Rivers posted in the Fan Club FB page that there was new music on the way and some guys from the Weezer forum have found out that a brand new single is being released October 27th. It's called Thank God For Girls, which is a bit of a lousy songtitle so here's hoping it's about Rivers' wife and daughter and not some Raditude turd.

So Weezer played Thank God For Girls yesterday and they're recording the official video today. The song is kinda weird, has a big chorus and doesn't sound like anything they've done before. I'm not even sure if I like it, but at least they're doing their own thing. I don't think it's been uploaded yet so if anyone wants the live recording just PM me.

It is! That's what so great about it. I'm loving the fact that they're releasing this as the first single. It's also miles better than Shack, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

The lyrics are actually great even if they get silly in the chorus. It reminds me of what Rivers has been posting in his tumblr, that sort of stream of consciousness writing only way goofier. It's definitely their strongest lead single since Pork and Beans, even if casual fans are hating it for not having loads of guitars and distortion.
