EWBAITE has actually grown on me A LOT. I'd put it up there with Maladroit.

I haven't listened to the new album in its entirety yet, but plan on doing so tomorrow! My expectations are the highest for any recent Weezer effort....

Got my CD copy yesterday. It sounds so much better through stereo than through headphones.

Colored me somewhat impress...Is it to the magnitude of "Blue" and "Pinkerton" or compares favorably to the Rentals? NO!....but a MAJOR rebound from their most recent efforts and they're headed in the right direction!

The new album has a Green Album feel to me. Great stuff.

I actually really like "I've Had it Up to Here". It's got kind of a funky feel to it in the verses and a "Hash Pipe" falsetto vocal which compliments it completely.

Yeah..their new album seems to be a grower... I agree..their best overall effort since "Pinkerton" w/"Green" trailing just behind...Nothing ranks ahead of "Blue" though!

Debatable... Pinkerton is pretty much perfect.

Both to me were perfect... but I guess I hold "Blue" higher in esteem since it came out during the start of my junior year in HS and several songs were high on the chart throughout that memorable year which lasted until my senior year....So many distinct and wonderful memories!

Time to get this thread up! I'll always stick up with Pinkerton over Blue (in case you hadn't noticed) just cause I prefer its aesthetics and lyrics, but both albums are musically perfect. Anyway, it's almost been 6 months since EWBAITE was released! How would you place it in Weezer discography? I'd go for:

Pinkerton
Blue

EWBAITE

Maladroit
Green

Red (including the b-sides)
Hurley
Raditude

Make Believe.

 Well, Raditude is still awful, but at least it was meant to be a bubblegum cheesy pop record since the very beginning. Make Believe was planned to be a return to form with Rivers writing about himself again and ended up with songs like Beverly Hills or We Are All On Drugs. There are some decent tunes (Hold Me, The Other Way) but are mostly killed by that unbereable production.

Drugs is one of my favorite W songs. I like Make Believe over Maladroit or Pinkerton.
