On a whim, I booked two tickets to see the Vaccines in Bournemouth next November.
I've been drifting along in the same stale old shoes
Loose ends tyin' a noose in the back of my mind...

Explosions in The Sky are going to play here in my favourite venue in November. I'm really excited about that.

So, I've seen Will Butler and Slowdive live and that was absolutely fantastic! Will performed an awesome set, read a poem in Russian (public went wild for a sec), was nice and all - so, there is hope Arcade Fire will eventually come visit us! If only the next album is good... Slowdive performance was just as good, and certainly there were a lot of fans, because there was a lot of cheer and engagement - they seemed to like the audience too. This can't make a music fan in me any happier :D

In October, I plan to visit Slaves - I suppose this will be hell of an act!

I saw Rush over week ago here in Phoenix and I'm still on "Cloud 9"..... Geddy, Neil, and Alex are in the 60s, but they perform like they did while they were in their prime. Geddy and is melodic wide ranging voice, thundering bass, and extremely well-crafted keyboard playing, Neil and his propulsive percussions, and Alex has always been on of the most underrated guitarist of all-time..... They have such strong stage presence, excellent musicianship, and just a solid all around production. To me they still have even 40 more years left in them...they each discovered the fountain of youth!
