I'm happy with that. We're all seeing the old place off so we may as well make it easy for ourselves and post in the one place only until it's gone. We can all reconvene here on 21st then.

So glad we've got this place though thanks to Veikko (thank you!) - I'd miss it so much otherwise.

I've got a lot of Beatles side-projects to catch up on.
Right now I'm listening to Tug of War for the first time.
'What's That You're Doing' is such a banger, they should have put it out as a single.

I can't believe that all the database of the Blur forum (including The Beatles thread of course) will be lost within few days.

I think it's better to post here since this week, and try -if it's possible- to rescue the "best posts"

Got the White album (mono, remastered) and it sounds really incredible. Absolutely wonderful to own this release in minty fresh condition. Think I'll get Magical Mystery Tour next. Hell, I might even replace all my stereo mix LPs!

Yeah don't worry, we'll bring the popular threads across before the old forum shuts. :)

I'm more pissed about losing our original Beatles thread over there than anything else!

Yeah same here, a shame that one thread can't be moved here. But alas, don't see it happening.

Damn, we're already on 3 pages here and we're still adding pages to the old place! Ha!

I had the lovely chance to meet Paul's 1989-1993 guitarist Robbie McIntosh many years ago (I think I met him in 2000 which blows me away b/c it felt like just a few years ago).
Anyways, here's a photo I took of him:

But reason why I brought this up is because he released a few albums and I was listening to one for the first time in a while and I forgot how much I liked it. If anyone wants, I will be happy to upload it on the dropbox folder. It's rather good. There's one song that a snippet was featured on the Paul video Moving On which was the making of Off the Ground. I rather liked Robbie. He was a very nice and funny guy. I took a lot more photos of him but I have to look for them. I also met Hamish Stuart. I think someone on the old forum said something like he was trying too hard to be John Lennon. I totally agree. He was a nice guy, but U liked Robbie's personality a lot more and I thought Robbie was more talented. I didn't buy Hamish's album. Anyways, let me know if you guys would like his album. He has two rock albums and one instrumental guitar one. I have all three.

I'm unfamiliar with any of Paul's solo bands other than his current one, I have to say!

Anyone notice the bass mistake on Oh Darling! from Abbey Road? At the 1:29 mark Paul plays the note a little late.

What a suitable ending to the thread in the old place. I'm going to leave it there. We said goodbye, now we say hello. 8-)
