I actually don't doubt that loads of tapes like that exist...but those guys just seemed fishy and it's a little too perfect that it was announced and then "cancelled" in a matter of 2-3 days. Suuuuuuuuure...

Never saw that one before Tom.

What's everyone's favorite Beatles Christmas record? Mine has to be 1966.

I'd pick '66 or '67. '68 and '69 are interesting but depressing...

1969 is depressing plus it has Yoko. Although 1968 has Tiny Tim singing

How does everyone on here feel about either "Happy Xmas/War Is Over" and/or "Wonderful Christmastime"? I'm not ranking/rating/comparing the two.....

Happy Christmas (War Is Over) is good until Yoko starts to sing and that's all you hear. I like the melody of Wonderful Christmastime, but hate the synths.

My work radio station plays Pipes of Peace as a Christmas song so I get to hear all three during this time of year.

This is a photoshop obviously but how cool would this have been? Somewhere in an alternate reality John left Yoko and this photo was actually taken in 1980, marking the day John and Paul decided to write again after ten long years apart.

john's christmas song is pretty good (very overplayed though)

paul's is dreadful. i love synthesizer music and the synths on it sound pretty neat but everything else there can't be saved by that.

They’re both excellent. Christmas classics.

I love both, childhood nostalgia mostly for John, though its a good song

Paul's is fantastic, as is basically everything he did during the MII sessions.

I hope to contribute to this thread more in the future because I've played the Beatles pretty much consistently in the last few years but I've rarely talked about them with anyone.
