Re: Andy Partridge Versions

I prefer his version of Sunday Sunday to the MLIR version but I like the MLIR version of Coping better than his.

Re: Official blur forum to shut down

I apologize to the Admin for being upset at him for not telling us why the place closed. Kinda did one of those "blame the messenger" for not telling us why when it wasn't his fault. Thank you Caitlin for offering to foot the bill it's a shame they wouldn't even listen, but I'm not surprised. Btw To...

MrMagpie wrote:Can't go wrong with Pepper. It's still fantastic and one of the greatest albums ever, especially in mono!

Ever since I heard it in mono (thanks to some super person [wink, wink]) I don't listen to the stereo version

Re: Official blur forum to shut down

I don't know why, but I was hoping the admin would finally tell us the reason on the day of the closure. Like post the reason and close the site. But like a good politician he answered a few things but never the only thing we really wanted to know.

Re: The Beatles thread

As for the poll, I'm going with Pepper. It's a hard choice though. Sgt Pepper was always my favorite as a teen and it's the album that I love to listen to from start to finish without skipping tracks (though at times I do skip When I'm 64)

Re: The Beatles thread

I ..Anyone else love the "I Want You" "(She's So Heavy)" version w/Paul on lead vocals? Hmmmm I would be interested, but I don't think it would be as good. Who knows. I'm not saying Paul doesn't have a good voice or anything b/c I think he has one of the best voices in rock, but I think John's voic...

Honestly, I love the Dramatic Chipmunk! It's a classic and so silly!

Re: The Beatles thread

Damn, we're already on 3 pages here and we're still adding pages to the old place! Ha! I had the lovely chance to meet Paul's 1989-1993 guitarist Robbie McIntosh many years ago (I think I met him in 2000 which blows me away b/c it felt like just a few years ago). Anyways, here's a photo I took of hi...

Re: Unheard tracks

I think Damon was being stingy with his demos on for the 21 box set. Or they were all too lazy to look for them.
