Get your ears cleaned.
Three or four really good songs on it, the rest is muck. Full of stinkers. Damon's right.

Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell

I think this deserves its own thread. This album is out today and it is a fucking masterpiece. Upsetting, desolate, beautiful and inspiring....it is perfectly pitched and full of sublime and pure songs. No album has made me cry like this one has and still does. Blur are my favourite band but they'll...

I've always thought Come Together was one of Blur's most underrated tunes. I fuckin love it.

I'm *really* nitpicking here, but having seen the Mode gig, does anyone wish Graham's solo was a bit louder/higher in the mix on the studio version? It sounds fantastic live.

Re: What do you want Blur to play on the Magic Whip tour?

What a fucking set list that is. I know with a band like Blur who have so much good material to choose from there are always gonna be a couple of mystifying omissions....but I'm surprised New World Towers and Mirrorball don't get an outing. Mirrorball is in there. I think New World Towers and Ice C...

Re: Poll: Favourite Graham Album?

The Spinning Top is without doubt his 'best'...i.e. his most accomplished. It's a properly brilliant piece of work that you can tell was lovingly crafted. It still doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Re: NEW ALBUM: The Magic Whip

Okay, I'm trying to put the gig video away now....but based on what we've heard, I think my absolute favourite bit of the album (which none of us have heard yet, ha)....is the bit at the end of Pyongyang when Graham's chorus overlaps with Damon's. Musically - harmonically and melodically - it is abs...
