Re: Official blur forum to shut down

I know Veikko's forum is now THE Blur forum to be on but it really makes less sense now that the label would shut down the old forum. They must have known a new album was in the works but they shut it down anyway. Pointless!! Sadly, it probably would have been just as dead if they'd kept it going. ...

Re: misheard blur lyrics...

The opening line of Bang sounds like "Sitting in an STD...".
Which is really, really weird.

Re: "BLUR" Album turns 18 years

yeah for me a CD album was three weeks pocket money. I stayed in for nearly a month so I could buy Garbage's debut when that came out. Worth it though, classic. I do wonder why CDs costs so much in the 90s. Were manufacturing costs really that more expensive? I doubt it. No wonder people stopped buy...

Re: "BLUR" Album turns 18 years

Just thinking about this makes me realise how ridiculously expensive CDs were in the mid/late 90s. Most single disc CD albums retailed for about £13, with some costing as much as £16. And when I bought "The Wall" on double CD it cost £23! Last month I bought two Prince albums (Plectrum Electrum and ...

Re: "BLUR" Album turns 18 years

I bought it from Our Price the first day it was released. I was fifteen. Between the release of The Great Escape and the self titled my music taste changed a lot (started listening to heavy metal and Nirvana) so when I first heard Song 2, M.O.R., Death of a Party and Chinese Bombs I can vividly reme...

What's B-Roads? I'm guessing it's a bootleg of unheard b-sides?

Re: "We're out there somewhere" (Graham's new song)

The Beatles music has always been like that. They never feature on compilations and very, very rarely on soundtracks. They pretty much revolutionized the way bands publish their music with Apple Corps.

And yet, Michael Jackson was still able to buy their back catalogue......WEIRD

Re: "We're out there somewhere" (Graham's new song)

Premium... Oh well.. Upon it's initial release I kept on requesting they added it here... perhaps something w/the label? That's really annoying. The only artists I haven't been able to find on spotify are AC/DC, Tool and the Beatles. Even Lars "free music downloading kills kittens!!" Ulrich let Met...

I´m see A+E in spotify, that's here :x :D http://open.spotify.com/album/2iGomdp6w6tnZ7rVStHCEJ Different stuff has different rights I guess. Like Warner Bros own all of Prince's songs from the Batman soundtrack, which is why Batdance is on none of his Best Ofs, despite it being one of his biggest s...

I love the song live but the album version isn't as good. The backing singers should have been higher in the mix.

Re: "We're out there somewhere" (Graham's new song)

just looked on iTunes and the song is there...but you have to buy the whole album to land it...hmm! Bizarrely, the soundtrack is on spotify BUT when you click on your song it won't let you play it. And for some reason it is just your track, the rest plays. See: http://s24.postimg.org/dmg2u93xh/Scre...
