Finally a BBC report...Paris looking lovely, Macron doing wonders for France, if this was America under Trump the reports would be 24/7. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-47609978?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=facebook&ocid=socialflow_facebook&ns_campaign=bbcnews&fbclid=IwAR2OZ4bvppEpaSDq35Q_tW...

Re: Islande - Damon at the Philharmonie de Paris, 24 May 2020

That's not a Saturday is it? that's normally riot against Macron and the mafia EU day over there, mainstream media like to keep it hushed up though, don't want the EU in a bad light do we... Wow! - i don't even know where to begin with that. I would like to make it perfectly clear to any Fre...

I rewrote the entire Wiki page for Laughing Stock

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laughing_Stock_(album" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

It was tiny, now it's not 8-)
Just read this back, great stuff, be nice if you did the same for The Colour Of Spring and Its My Life, too small!

Re: Talk Talk Thread

Good points Sledge Hammer - I also think their music was at the wrong time in the later 80s. The melodic, thoughtful songs would have fitted in better with e.g. the mid 90s-early 2000s. Yes and I thank Talk Talk leading me onto Blur and the indie scene as I bought the best of Talk Talk in 1990 (my ...

Re: general blur thread

I see all those Good The Bad...gigs listed and just think what a waste of Blur, all the sub par Gorillaz stuff over the last few years aswell, and here is the one of the best combos in music history - Albarn/Coxon, the perfect mix. Damon never put 100% into The Magic Whip, a jam and Graham did the w...

Re: What films have you seen lately?

The original Jaws (1975), looks stunning in 4k such a brilliant soundtrack acting and direction from Spielberg, the trio of Scheider, Shaw and Dreyfuss superb.

Jaws 3 and 4 should be burnt and never shown again.

Re: RIP Keith Flint

They totally blew Oasis away at Knebworth, Keith "you Oasis mttha fkkas" made me chuckle, and were electric live. This was the day I knew Blur were miles ahead of Oasis, they were flat dull and barely spoke to the crowd apart from coming on at the beginning and singing "shiitelife".

Re: Talk Talk Thread

Yes I never bought the albums, but I liked the best known hit singles. And they have had a longevity - you still hear them now. The band always struck me as on the cusp of greater things. Again, was it a case of the indifferent late 80s music scene being wrong for them? Though they also had a litig...

Re: Talk Talk Thread

Just want to say, these past 20 hours have been the worst. The absolute worst. But he'll never be forgotten, not with music like that. R.I.P. Mark, my foremost hero. 1955-2019 Exactly, seems surreal he's gone, always hoped we would hear something from him again, but not even an interview since 1998...

Re: Talk Talk Thread

RIP to a music legend, his music with Talk Talk transformed my music taste back in 1990 when I bought the best of, led me on to Blur etc.

Truly underrated, thankfully the music will live on forever.

It is now time for it to be available to the long term fans who have never seen it, I don't see a problem?

Re: Weezer Thread

Having just checked out the previous posts, I had a listen to the Teal album, love it! much better covers...

But then checked out that new zombie song, omg that is pap pop pants, hopefully the album will be better.
