I think that Blur had plenty to be going on with in the UK in autumn 1994, and a prolonged north American tour would have been a distraction.

Yes, in the original run of albums, or certainly up to '13', Blur were the main thing happening at the time.

Yes I agree, it is hard to process. You can compare it to being in 1990 and looking back to Adam Faith or The Shadows starting their careers.
