Re: Gorillaz - Song Machine Tour 2020-2022

I really like it, it's well done, he used a lot of autotune when he did Blu with Mura Masa.

Re: Damon's new (2021) mullet

Given the mullet’s brief run, does anyone think Damon read this thread and got the message? I spoke with a guy who attended the MIF shows, and he got to talk to Damon afterwards. Damon said he cut the mullet because all the articles coming out for glastonbury were ignoring the music and focusing on...

Damon on Gorillaz: "At the moment I’m doing a carnival EP for this year’s carnival (…) The first person I got is Dawn Penn. I’ve got three hours of Dawn Penn to go through and do something really exciting from it." Via The Fader Uncovered podcast

Re: Damon's new (2021) mullet

I don't like it but I don't hate it either (?

I just find it funny that the whole aesthetic for this new record is so delicate and elegant, and then damon looks like a member of the russian mafia

Re: Damon Albarn - The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows

Loved the track. (and from all the songs we've heard it was my least favorite). so ethereal, the girl doing the backing vocals sounds like a siren (?

It's weird to have a single 5 months before the album but I guess the release date has to do with the possibility of playing the live shows.

Re: Damon Albarn - The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows

Beautiful performance, Mike playing the sax sounded amazing. I loved the new song "darkness to light", and i'm not sure about this new version of royal morning blue, all the songs were more electronic. if anyone wants the show, here's a link to download it! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VLyvBB8-Y...

Re: Gorillaz - Song Machine

before song machine live Damon said that the next season could be something like another virtual show, maybe they could release 1 or 2 videos and then do a gig revealing the rest of the songs

Surprised to see ghost ship up there, I mean I love the song but is weird that it has more streams than the universal

OMH has become a really big song. It only got played on radio 2 in the UK in 2010, so its had to find an audience "organically" without radio play. If you watch videos of live shows, theres always a huge cheer when the video starts.
I think the same thing is gonna happen with ARIES.
