Re: Damon's new (2021) mullet

Oh God, I hate crazy beat. I'd rather listen to Be Here Now. I'm not kidding. Same As for the subject of his hair, it doesn’t matter to me because it’s not on me. If he likes it then good for him. I don’t know why people get obsessed about what other people’s style. Do I know them personally? Nope....

Re: The Beatles Thread

I never knew it was John’s mother’s birthday. Also, I never thought about how Graham’s birthday was the same day/year.

I love Ram. It’s my favorite album of Paul’s. I absolutely love the harmonies on it (as well as many other things)

Re: Blur and Record Store Day

- First time vinyl reissue of the Budokan live album I’d want that if it were ever released. To me it’s to be a fan of a band that doesn’t put out a lot of rereleases or special editions of things that fans already have. I’ve shelled out more money than I want to think about on rereleases and thing...

Re: The Beatles Thread

You know I never thought of it. You’re absolutely right.

Sometimes he gets good results and sometimes he really doesn’t.

I like it when he works with someone who isn’t afraid to say no and doesn’t just indulge in him because he’s Paul McCartney

Re: Dig! 20 best blur songs

I took it as he thought Song 2 was the weakest, despite him saying the word album.

Re: The Beatles Thread

Very true. It’s a good way to introduce newer people to his work. I honestly never thought of it like that. To be honest, I kinda like the Kiss of Venus cover better than Paul’s. I though that might sound horrifying to some people, but at least I wasn’t saying I think a cover of Band on the Tun is b...

Re: The Beatles Thread

I honestly haven’t listened to McCartney 3 since December. I guess that says something about my feelings towards the album. Has anyone heard the tracks from McCartney III Imagined? I actually like the cover of “The Kiss of Venus”. As for Beck’s remix of “Find My Way” I’m not crazy about it. To be fa...

Re: Damon on "McCartney III" covers (?) album

Thanks for the info. I hope it is good, I'm sure it will be.
I already ordered the vinyl so I'll just have to wait until it's release or until more songs are posted on YouTube.

Re: Damon on "McCartney III" covers (?) album

Out of all the songs on the album, this one suits Damon the most. It’s actually one of my favorites from the album. I kinda hope it’s not a remix and that it’s a cover, but we’ll see. The cover of the song “The Kiss of Venus” by Dominic Fike is actually very good. He put his own verse in, but it sti...

Re: The Beatles Thread

I agree that if it weren’t Paul no one would be praising it. It’s funny, the more I listen to it, the less impressed I am with it. I mean, it’s enjoyable and there are some good songs on it, but it’s not my favorite of his. It’s still miles ahead of Egypt Station! The album to me feels like he’s pla...

Re: The Beatles Thread

The thing is, he’s 78 years old. And he still tours. Quite honestly, I thought his voice sounded decent considering his age and how much he uses it. I think the lockdown gave him a chance to “rest” it if you will. It’s not the same as it was years ago, but again, he’s 78 years old. That being said, ...

Re: The Beatles Thread

I don’t think I really liked anything on Egypt Station. I think there were one or two tracks that I kinda liked but the fact that I can’t remember them says a lot.
So far I’ve heard nothing but good reviews for McCartney III so I really hope it’s going to be good
