Re: OFFICIAL STAR WARS THREAD

Rogue One is the best of the Disney Star Wars movies.

And Tom I the Rise of Skywalker is already on Disney +

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?

It’s to the point that if I have a coughing fit or if my chest gets really tight, I get paranoid that I have the virus. Which is stupid because I know that I’ve always had random coughing fits and my chest gets tight due to anxiety. I’m starting to read/watch the news a lot less because it’s making ...

Re: Damon Albarn - The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows

i am excited to hear it. I am imagining something sounding a bit dr dee but with more light instruments like bells, xylophones and stuff, and then maybe some epic string/drum moments. I won't hear it until it has an official release unfortunately though :D CD or spotify or whatever Has there been a...

Re: Beetlebum: reaction at the time

"it is heartbreakingly criminal that the potential of the musical partnership that is Damon and Graham has lain largely dormant for the last 20 years... " Yep I said this before, awful really...banal Gorillaz churning out forgettable gunk every other year, Damon hasn't put 100% into new Blur materi...

Re: New Mods would benefit this community

While I think adding new mods wouldn’t hurt anything, I’m not quiet sure more/different mods will increase the activity on the forum.
I don’t know the answer as to what will make people engage in more topics or post more in general. (Aside from Blur releasing new material)

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?

Turns out I didn’t get the job I was interviewed for. I’m actually really bummed for many reasons. I’m also worried about my hours at my current job. I’m not a manager so I am not full time. I don’t have health insurance through my job because at the time of enrollment my average hours that I worked...

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?

I work at a convenience store/deli/gas station and my store is considered to be "essential" so I have to work. Now, the company said I could either take 14 days off and use my paid time off (all 24 hours of it) and still keep my job or continue to work with the public and possibly contract the virus...

Re: Damon's vocals: a revelation

I don't mind it to an extent. I love Radar and a few other songs mentioned above where he just kinda mumbles and sings whatever comes out of his mouth. I don't like it when/if he does it out of laziness. The end result sometimes comes out as if he couldn't be bothered to write anything. It's tricky ...

Re: The Beatles Thread

What does everyone think of Julian Lennon's music? I must admit, I only knew a handful of songs but I heard a few more the other day. While the ones I heard are typical 80s pop, they're not that bad. I always kinda feel bad for him as he was just trying to do what he loved doing (music) and no matte...

Re: Blur - The Magic Whip

I don’t remember what I Gabe it when it first came out, but I know I overrated it. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the album. I have some fond memories because of it like being second row at their show in Madison Square Garden. I’m not really fond of I Broadcast, Ong Ong, or Spaceman. They’re ok, b...

Re: What pisses you off at the moment?

The weather in New Jersey (where I love) is so bizarre for January. Today was 32 degrees (0 degrees Celsius)out which is normal for January but Saturday it’s going to be 67 degrees (19.44 degrees Celsius) which is insane for January. I totally understand how the lack of daylight makes you depressed ...

Re: Doctor Who

Wow, Mark Power of Kroll! I can imagine it being scary to a younger person. Personally, I really don’t like it. I find it to be rather boring especially for a Robert Holmes script. It’s not as boring than Underworld (again in my opinion). I really tried to get into the last season and the new season...

Re: The Beatles Thread

That’s so weird that you guys are talking about the Anthology because two weeks ago when Neil Innes died I watched the Rutles movie and I had forgotten how funny it was. Then I thought about the Anthology and later my local radio station has a Breakfast with the Beatles program and they played “Real...

Re: OFFICIAL STAR WARS THREAD

I will say that I was very surprised at how much I liked the Rise of Skywalker. I will admit, there was a little bit during the middle where I kinda wished it would get to the end already as it was starting to drag (and I really had to pee but didn't want to miss anything). But it picked up and I re...
