Re: Islande - Damon at the Philharmonie de Paris, 24 May 2020

Yeah, completely off topic. Rather than get into politics or anything like that, I'll say that I am very intrigued about this show. I wonder when we'll know more about it? Perhaps Damon will mention it Friday when he and Paul are on BBCR6. It's odd to me that tickets are already on sale over a year ...

Re: Return of Vampire Weekend, June 2018

The London shows are happening while I am in Spain for my spring break... ahh! Oh well, I can't complain much. I'm just sure those shows will be something else. I saw VW live in 2014, but I am very much wanting to see this new iteration of them, what people are calling "Jampire Weekend", hehe. Harmo...

Re: Blur Live albums

I believe both of those albums (or maybe just Parklive?) were available as soon as the gig was over, I think through Abbey Road's "Live Here Now" or something like that. I remember it was the same case for Damon's live albums with The Heavy Seas at the Royal Albert Hall. While it's cool that they ar...

Re: The return of SLEEPER!

The tunes and look of the band were fantastic. I'm excited for their new album! Glad they have Stephen Street as producer again. I'm going to an album signing at Rough Trade East where they're playing a small gig afterward... can't wait!!

Re: general blur thread

I also have a (perhaps blind) hope that blur will be next up… after Damon’s next Malian endeavor. The thing about that is it’s probably quite close to finished by now, relatively speaking, especially considering the pace at which damon works and his recent trip to Mali. I think the stars may align. ...

Has anyone seen any tickets available online through stubhub or some other resellers? My ticket already arrived. I know some folks who missed out and are still trying to get tickets

Good catch! First resell ticket I’ve seen thus far.

Wow, that's brilliant. He does indeed nail them. I would kill for Graham himself to make a video like that!

I wonder why they switched the Liverpool venue from the Olympia to the O2. More capacity?

Re: Blur-related attractions in London?

I should be going round to Greenwich sometime in March and definitely plan on walking around the area Parklife was filmed in!

By the end of my semester in London I'm hoping to have a nice album of photos of all the blur stuff I've seen :)

Re: general blur thread

Just a random thought: whenever blur eventually performs again (they must!!), if they play End of A Century I am not prepared for Damon to sing “as you get closer… to 60”

Re: Blur-related attractions in London?

After seeing the Hyde Park Parklife bench in the "How Parklife came to be" thread, I thought I'd revive this old thread and share my list of "blur to-do's" and see if anyone had any new/updated thoughts. I've already been by Studio 13 a few times (lucked out with my airbnb, it was only a 2 minute wa...

Re: How did Parklife come to be?

Ahhh that damn bench!! The second day I got to London I wandered around Hyde Park for 2+ hours looking for it. Apparently it no longer exists, but did at one point (according to folks on Twitter who have said they saw it.) I got hopeless looking for the right bench and messaged a blur friend that ha...

Re: Africa Express: The Circus

Is this just a bunch of songs where African musicians and Anglo ones play together? Ellie Rowsell would be cool to see. Not sure how a Good, The Bad & The Queen gig is a one-off though. I assume it will be like a mix between how the 2012 concerts were and the 2015 5 hour long Roskilde gig. An eclec...
