Trivia:
- The compilation tries to serve as
an honest and ecclectic introduction to the band. Many hit singles
(such as "Charmless Man", "Country House" and "There's No Other Way")
were left out of the compilation and replaced with the album tracks
that are more valued by the band and fans.
- Curiously, the design concept of the
album is directly copied from Beginner's Guide To series by Nascente
records. The cover design is indentical to
Beginner's Guide To
Africa (starring Damon's collaborators Amadou & Mariam and
Bassekou Kouyate, among other).
- The songs referenced in the cover
photography (as suggested by fans): "This Is A Low", "Popscene", "Girls
& Boys", "He Thought Of Cars", "Trimm Trabb" and "The Universal". Can
you think of more?
- The album was announced on 20th May
2009, leaving only a few weeks for the promotion.
- Total running time: 107:20
